This event is free with donations welcomed - registration requested 
Yoshizumi Kosayo (吉住 小三代), master shamisen performer, brings the traditional artistry of the shamisen to us from Japan. She is the principal teacher of Yoshizumi-ryu style shamisen, one of the biggest schools of nagauta:traditional Japanese songs that accompany shamisen music. This special event will include historical explanations about the shamisen and a chance for guests to interact with the artists and instruments. Children are welcome.
